How Your Body Changes Once You Start Eating Healthily

Health is more than wealth.

A strong and healthy body translates to a fuller, happier life.

Here are interesting things that happen to your body once you start eating healthily.

How long does it take to see results when you start eating healthily?

While some benefits take longer to appear, you’ll notice certain benefits almost immediately!

Here is what happens to your body once you stop dieting and start enjoying real, nourishing foods.

1 Day
Reduced levels of hunger

One of the reasons why you’re always hungry, is perhaps because of an inefficient diet that subsists on empty carbs.

This food burns up in your body quickly, which causes your body to crave substance more quickly.

When you start to fuel up with slow-burning sources of energy like complex carbs, protein, and healthy fats, you’ll start to experience fewer cravings throughout the day.

Eat more
You’ll be amazed to find out that you can eat so much food without gaining weight.

Eating right simply means being more conscious about the type of food you eat.

Increasing the consumption of food items such as fruits and fresh vegetables will nourish your body.

Greater mental health
You will experience a higher level of mental focus and clarity.

Meals high in sugar, saturated oils, and starch bring about immediate sleepiness, sluggishness, and bloated feeling.

All you ever want to do after a big Mexican meal is go home and sleep.

By switching to healthy food choices, you will have all the energy needed to accomplish many other things for the rest of the day.

1 Week
Energy Skyrockets

Cutting down junk food and fast food will give you the energy you need to survive a hectic day. This will make daily activities (and exercise) a lot easier!

Better Sleep
When you’re on a poor diet, consuming foods that digest quickly and leave you hungry, you can disrupt your sleep cycle by making you hungry in the middle of the night.

Once you start eating healthily, you will sleep more soundly. You will fall asleep easier and won’t wake up so much throughout the night.

Less bloating
As your body becomes more regular, you will experience a lower amount of bloating and discomfort.

As a result you may notice that your clothes are feeling looser than before.

Furthermore, your body will be shedding all the excess water you have retained from high sodium intake and highly processed foods that you were consuming before.

Positive Mood
Studies show that a number of nutrients are associated with brain health. Some of which include omega-3s (salmon, flax and chia seeds), folate (asparagus, chickpeas, lentils) & vitamin B12 (tuna, shrimp, milk).

As you start eating healthily, you’ll notice you have less ups and downs throughout the day and may even start to feel more empowered.

If you had depressive thoughts before, these may be starting to lessen.

1 Month
Glowing Skin
When it comes to healthy-looking skin, what you put in your body may matter more than what you put on it.

Good nutrition is a fundamental building block of healthy skin.

As you provide your skin with all the nutrients it needs for repair and growth, you’ll notice a new glow to your skin.

The natural ingredients in food help to speed the pace of exfoliation, protect skin from UV damage and much more!

You will look more radiant and even appear younger.

Save Money
It is a common belief that eating healthily is more expensive.

But think about all that cash you blow on fruit juices/fizzy drinks, eating out, take-aways and higher priced convenience items like granola bars.

By choosing healthy foods, you’ll actually be saving money.

Speed up Metabolism
As you start eating healthily and at regular intervals, you will notice your metabolism speeding up.

Lots of water and fibre equals a very regular digestive tract.

More habitual
Eating healthily will now require less effort.

After doing something for 21 days straight, you will find that you do it without thinking.

Making smart choices will start to feel like second nature!

Faster recovery
When you workout you tear your body down, damaging muscles, and ligaments.

The most effective way to accelerate recovery and reduce muscle soreness is to eat nutrient dense foods.

6 Months
Better sex
Yes, this is true!

When people look and feel better about themselves, they are more open with their bodies, which can lead to better sex lives.

Lower blood pressure
Your blood pressure may decrease, lowering your risk of heart disease and stroke.

Your blood glucose levels will also be under much better control, reducing blood sugar fluctuations and lowering your risk factor for diabetes.

Stronger bones
Your bones will be getting stronger, reducing your risk of stress fractures and breaks. While this is something you cannot see, it is happening.

1 Year
You’ll be enjoying all the benefits listed above as these benefits will persist for as long as you continue to eat healthy!

Target weight
You’ll be at your goal weight – a bodyweight where you feel healthy, strong and confident.

What’s more, unlike quick-fix diets, this is for the long haul.
Eating healthily will let you stay healthy and feel attractive for many years to come!

Healthier choices
By this point you will know how to indulge wisely.

You understand that a single biscuit or two won’t hurt you.

You can now treat yourself and not fall right off your healthy plan entirely.

Happier
Although the relationship is not entirely understood, well-balanced nutrition and mental health are integrally related.

Eating nutrient-dense foods at regular intervals will help you feel more positive and energetic.

With a well fuelled body and mind, you’ll also be better equipped to deal with the inevitable stresses of life.

START TODAY
So you see, even in a short space of time you can experience noticeable results and the longer you can keep the ‘streak’ going the more powerful the effects become.

Eating healthy is not about being on a short term “diet” that is overly restrictive and leaves you hungry all the time.

Instead, it’s about finding a way of eating that can be sustained for the rest of your life, which allows you to feel good, lose weight and doesn’t stop you from enjoying the foods you enjoy.

Need help?
Would you like to learn a nutritional system that is?:
  • Easy to follow
  • Doesn’t require you to starve yourself – no diets
  • Doesn’t leave you feeling hungry, irritable and tired.
  • Doesn’t require eating broccoli all day – Still have the naughty foods you enjoy
  • Doesn’t involve following set meal plans – Flexibility and choice on what you eat.
  • Doesn’t require you to count calories or weigh your food.

If you answered yes to any of the above then let me show you how to create habits and make nutrition a lifestyle, not a diet.

I didn't know that lower blood pressure can result in less chance of stroke. I need to get a personal fitness trainer to help with my weight loss. I plan on losing 40 pounds this year.

Thanks for pointing out that a strong and healthy body translates to a fuller, happier life. My husband and I want to lose 20 lbs. within a month to look younger for our cousin's 35th birthday in March. We are hoping to find a medical weight loss clinic on Monday to encourage lifestyle change and help us gain optimal weight loss.
